                   A smallest and most unique animals in the world , this animal is known by the people of Belitung with Pelilean . in general have characterized , large eyes and ears wide in comparison to their size . This animal can rotate up to 180 ° head and looked back without changing his position . long tail almost double his size .

      Tarsius out looking for food and perform other activities at night ( nocturnal ) and these animals live or stay in a tree at a height of 0.5 to 2 meters . semi- hanging and jumping movements .

      To mark territory and footprint area , these animals are always throwing urine on trees flown in , on the day the animal is sleeping under a canopy of leaves and do not make nests . Tarsius are insect eaters such as grasshoppers , beetles , ladybugs , and crickets . Primates also eating lizards , small snakes , bats , and small birds .

                  Since 1931, the Tarsius are already protected by the Wild Animals Protection Ordinance No. 266 1931, strengthened by UU No . 5 1990 and Ministerial Decree dated 10 June 1991 No.301/Kplts-II/1991 .
